1. Thank you, just checked the migration map. Doesn't seem to be any within 10 miles of my house yet

I’m in Wilmington Delaware and there has been a sighting in Newark which is the closest so far. Last year they came on 24 April. I’m ready for them

2. The Hummingbird Central map is saturated with sightings all along the coast as far as Maine ...

I do know NYC blossoms out about a week earlier being warmer near the coast. Have two feeders out, but there isn't much available for them in natural blossoms or insects. Temps dipping down in next few days too.

3. I hung the hummingbird feeder yesterday

in anticipation of their arrival in NW Montana. It's been cool the last few days but they are on their way.

4. I imagine you have more varieties of hummingbirds than here on the east coast

We only have the Ruby-throated and very rare visits from the Rufous.

the Calliope, Black-Chinned, and Rufous.

I have planted honeysuckle to attract them, but it will be another season before they produce enough flowers.
