Put some stickers, even as small as postage stamps, here and there on the glass. It MUST BE ON THE OUTSIDE, not the inside. No more crashes.. Even one sticker on a small window is enough if it's about in the middle.

(18,219 posts)I had a cardboard cutout silhouette of a raptor in flight that I put on my picture windows in the spring. I have also heard that you can spray the window with hair spray on the outside to get rid of the reflexion, but that is messy and you can't look out the window while it is sprayed.

I've got a series of posts with feeders hanging from them about 4-5 feet from the windows. About 40 feet away is an oak tree. Sometimes the hawk sits in the tree, then stoops on the flock of eating birds, sometimes he just makes a flyby.
If you have screens on the outside of your window, you don't need the decals, btw.
