Today June 3 is the Festival of Bellona

Bellona was an Ancient Roman goddess of war, corresponding to the Ancient Greek Enyo. She was called the sister of Mars, and in some sources, his wife or an associate of his female cult partner Nerio.[1] Bellona's main attribute is the military helmet worn on her head, and she often holds a sword, a shield, or other weapons of battle.

Politically, all Roman Senate meetings relating to foreign war were conducted in the Templum Bellonæ (Temple of Bellona) on the Collis Capitolinus outside the pomerium, near the Temple of Apollo Sosianus. The fetiales, a group of priest advisors, conducted ceremonies to proclaim war and peace, and announce foreign treaties at the columna bellica, in front of her temple.[1]

Bellona's festival was celebrated on June 3.

It has been more than 200 years since the enlightenment, as good a point as any for demarcating the death of the Christian god(s).

There was a similar extended death of the Greco-Roman deities as Christianity replaced old beliefs.

On the evening of 3 June 1862 the cemetery was the location of a turbulent riot by angry Sheffield citizens, against accusations that the Reverend John Livesey and his sexton Isaac Howard were neglecting to bury corpses, and instead selling them to the city's medical for use in anatomical dissection. The rumours were proven false - and Livesey and Howard were instead fined by York Assizes for reusing graves in order to save space. However both were lated paid compensation for the damage caused to their property during the riot, and Livesey was reinstated as the Vicar of St, Philip's Church.

I had a dog-eared copy of Bullfinch's Mythology I read in my (much) younger days, but don't recall any mentions of Bellona. Interesting reading.

Athena/Minerva will always be my favorite.

She kicked Ares ass in single combat and would kick this Bellona's ass twice as badly!

Including the Greeks. Although a decent argument can be made that the Greeks coopted the eastern empire and got the last laugh on Rome, but not through force of arms.
