An official complaint has been filed against the East Texas judge that made headlines earlier this month after it was revealed that he gave a man a curious ultimatum this summer.
The Wisconsin-based Freedom from Religion Foundation, which has been no stranger to Texas cases, filed the misconduct complaint last Friday with the Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct on Smith County Court-at-Law Judge Randall Rogers.
Last month Josten Bundy of Chandler was forced to marry his 19-year-old girlfriend Elizabeth Jaynes or face 15 days of jail time.
In February Bundy got into a fight with Jaynes ex-boyfriend after the ex had said rude things about Jaynes. Defending her honor, Bundy punched him in the jaw a couple of times. The ex-boyfriend later filed assault charges, although he didnt require medical attention.
