“Under God” Is Really Just Another Christian Prayer

It’s like atheists keep saying: The Pledge of Allegiance is nothing but a Christian prayer in disguise.

When a sanctimonious cartoon like Family Circus admits what we all know to be true, it’s time for Christians to stop hiding behind the “ceremonial Deism” argument.

It's not just two words.

Remove those two words, and it will still be a prayer.

You hit the target perfectly.

But when the xtians made the change in '53 (I think that was the year), it became a Christian prayer, exactly like they wanted it to become.

easily conclude from The Bible that reciting the pledge is not Christian. The Jehovah's Witnesses have this view.

Here is a good commentary on this topic.

It's only been 40 years.

But hey, if such an authority as Family Circle has decreed it to be a prayer, then it must be a prayer.

Because there is no Higher Authority.

It's a fact, scientifically proven.
