My favorite God is Anubis

Here he is in the guise of a cute little puppy.

I admit that his super-power isn't much to talk about, but I like him because of the canine connection. I love dogs even though I've been bitten about seven times while doing my job making deliveries. I forgive them, and isn't that what religion is all about?

In Aztec mythology and religion, Xipe Totec or Xipetotec ("Our Lord the Flayed One" ) was a life-death-rebirth deity, god of agriculture, vegetation, the east, disease, spring, goldsmiths, silversmiths, liberation and the seasons.

To me, since he is flayed, he has no skin. He is neither white, nor black, nor brown, nor any other color. Thus to me (s)he represents all of humanity.

A one-eyed warrior poet who keeps ravens and wolves as pets and subsists entirely on booze? Probably the most interesting man in the room.

According to Wikipedia, there aren't any tales of Anubis. Probably pretty grim stuff if there were.
