I respond only because I "believe" you are a decent human being. Object lessons is a phrase of regret for some of US.

It merely means putting your argument in terms that the other person will understand because it has a direct connection to that other person. The phrase has no sexual or gender content. It has nothing to do with the concept of someone being treated as an "object." Like many other words, the word "object" has multiple meanings. Context reveals the one in use.

It's also a verb, meaning "to take exception to something," as in "I object to my words being taken out of context."

defined this way by thoughtful people. Aside from the sexist POV it reinforces, it leaves out those missing crucial support, some of the most vulnerable among us.
Honestly, it’s not a meme that I want to see progressives pushed. I know- better than you do- that they’re not easy to reason with... but this is not helping.

So your comeback is probably good only about 99% of the time.
