This is the group you probably intended to visit and got lost and ended up here:
Interfaith Group
"A safe haven that provides opportunities for people of all faiths, spiritual leanings and non-belief to discuss religious topics and events in a positive and civil manner, with an emphasis on tolerance. Criticisms of individual beliefs or non-belief, or debates about the existence of higher power(s) are not appropriate in this group."

There are no discussions going on there. Why is that?

(146,329 posts)make such recommendations. Until then, the Religion Group is open to all, believers and non-believers alike.
There is an Atheists & Agnostics Group, which is a protected group for people who so identify. There are several other groups that are specifically for believers. The Religion Group is for everyone who wants to discuss Religion from any point of view.
It is not the people who are here to do that who need to move.

(4,965 posts)would know better, but, alas, you continue to do it.
Your passive-aggressive schtick is getting old. And it's just made worse by your "there are so many people here that just like sarcasm and negativity" and then you do this crap.
guillaumeb
(42,641 posts)I understand. But the negativity is so incredibly obvious, and it is directed toward nearly anyone who posts here who does not share the negative attitude about religion.
Cuthbert Allgood
(4,965 posts)The exact thing could be said about the reaction of those who just don't want to hear anything negative about religion.
guillaumeb
(42,641 posts)The negativity from posters is mainly confined to one side, a side which confuses condescension with coherence, and insult for insight.
PragmaticDem
(320 posts)No doubt others think it is one sided on the other side. People in this room should make it less personal and more about the topic.
guillaumeb
(42,641 posts)And thus prevent any actual dialogue.
