Headline: Atheist Group Turns Worshipers Away - Blocks Church Door!

Wrote no news publication EVER!

I post this as an illustration of attacks by atheists on Christian churches and other houses of worship. Such attacks do not occur, except in the minds of some deluded people. Now, sometimes, religious people of one faith occasionally do something like that to some other place of worship that is of another faith. That does happen sometimes. But atheists aren't into that sort of thing at all.

Atheists do not care or mind if you worship, nor what you worship. As long as it is you doing the worshiping, nobody will ever bother you or disturb your prayers or hymns in your places of worship or your homes. We won't boycott your house of worship or picket your religious bookstore. That would be rude.

Atheists do mind if you impose your religious beliefs on others, and might even take you to court if you do it in violation of the law or the Constitution of the United States or the laws of individual states. Atheists want you to worship as you choose, but wish you would leave others alone to make their own decisions. That's all. It's rude to insist that others believe as you do. Really.

Atheists don't care if you are a Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Satanist, Neo-Pagan, or are part of any other religion. That's your business. Whatever you are able to believe is OK with atheists. If you want to discuss your beliefs in public places, you may find an atheist ready to counter your beliefs with reason. But, atheists won't come to you to do that. It's not their style. Atheists truly don't care what you believe or what you think. Only if you bring it with you into public discussions will you hear from them.

I hope that clears things up a little.

Exactly. We're not a proselytizing bunch, after all. MineralMan Jan 2018 #5

is if the Johnson amendment is repealed. I see no reason that protesters could not have loud abortion level protests in front of churches, and to speak up vocally during church services until asked to leave. Also what defines church membership? Large groups could form voting majorities at churches and then destroy them from the inside. There is a lot that can be done if folks decide to politicize churches.

There is no proselytizing. There's no real organization. Atheists just aren't into that sort of thing, for the most part. That's because we have no dogma. We have no scripture. We have no churches. We're just a bunch of non-believers. How do you promote that?

but activists resistant to politicizing of church. Common cause with atheists because a theocracy is anathema to a large number of Christians (and other faiths) and atheists.
