I have specific instructions to not have a funeral. Donate whatever anyone needs, burn the rest, and have a fucking party where you talk about how much of an ass I was and hopefully some of the cool stuff.

The herbivores get killed and eaten by the carnivores and when the carnivores die, they rot and fertilize the soil which grows plants that feed the herbivores.

I'd think that the last thing anyone would want played at their funeral is a song about the body rotting after death.

I really hope you didn't choose "Circle of Life" solely because it's better than the particle physics song.

I don't think "less" is the best way to put it; I believe "differently" might work better, as we don't know exactly what "less ordered" signifies from a human point of view...but either way, love it.

... the memories and thoughts, the aspects of self to which the Second Law of Thermodynamics will not be kind, far more me than the generic flow of matter and energy that comes and goes through me as I live.

Why would I want a physicist to speak of physics? Wrong place. Wrong time.

And I certainly don't want priest or preacher speaking of myths in which I never believed!

I'd especially like it if it was Neil DeGrasse Tyson or Lawrence Krauss as the physicist.

Can't imagine what funerals have to do with religion any more than marriage has to do with religion. Just because religious folk also marry and die doesn't mean they own some copyright on how a funeral is conducted. Personally I've never been to a funeral where clergy were even present.

I'm sure you had some good point to make though.
