On edit: "militant" might not be the correct word with respect to humblebum but the adjective I am thinking might get my post hidden by an "unbiased" jury so I will leave it at that.

(13,501 posts)is obviously loaded. I don't think you really need to defend yourself. The only thing that I think would define a militant atheist is someone who would take up arms for the cause of non-belief. I don't believe any of the atheist posters on this board actually fall into that category.
Now, argumentative atheist might be another matter.
