A San Antonio man said Tuesday he’s dropping his lawsuit over the use of stuffed mules in an exhibit at the American Museum of Agriculture, contending the judge’s faith would deny him a fair trial.

Patrick Greene, an atheist who has a 30-year history of protesting faith-based situations involving governments in Texas and California, said in his motion to dismiss he had seen the references to Christianity in District Judge Ruben T. Reyes’ online biography.

According to the judge’s campaign website, Reyes and his family attend Church on the Rock and “are very involved in our church.”

The church’s website lists Reyes and his wife, Melanie, among its executive elders.

4. Undoubtedly. The fact that he used stuffed mules to make this point makes it more poignant.

I'm sure his 30 year history of crank lawsuits in the name of atheism had nothing to do with this one.
