One nation, under Allah

A high school principal in the US state of Colorado is facing intense scrutiny for allowing a recitation of the US Pledge of Allegiance in Arabic. In the past, students from Rocky Mountain High School's multicultural club recited the pledge in both French and Spanish. But the Arabic recitation, which was approved by the school principal Tom Lopez, spurred negative comments towards the school, in addition to a nationwide debate over social media.

I'm all for multilingualism, but practicing any country's pledge of allegiance in another language is just strange. I can understand, maybe, making the effort to translate it as an exercise, but reciting it? Almost seems like someone was looking for trouble.

it means the same. This is their multi-cultural club and no one objected when they did it in Spanish or French.

Matthew 5:33-37 33 "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.' 34 But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne; 35 nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

do it in a make up language that would be unknown to all persons. Something I will not even be able to replicate myself. Like a child with an almost unintelligible speech pattern, all vowels or something. Then call it Persian, which is spoken in Iran. Come and get me. Haters gonna Hate and Idiots gonna Idiate. Love and Peace. lmsp
