The victim claims the sexual relationship began when she was 15 and the 35 year old church pastor admitted to the charges when confronted according to police. But notice how the neighbors just dismiss the charges outright? The guy was in a Christian rock band and a Christian pastor and even admitted to the charges, but the neighbors still insist that the charges must be untrue. Bet he gets special treatment from a judge because he's a Christina too.

This is a transcript of the video.
BOULDER, Colo. A youth pastor at Vinelife Church in Longmont is arrested and charged with sexual assault.
According to Boulder police Jason Roberson met his teenage victim while working at the church.
His neighbors in Firestone were shocked by the arrest.
Im devastated, I cant imagine, said Mike, a neighbor of Jason Roberson.
Neighbors said Jason Roberson, lived at his Firestone home with his wife and two daughters for nearly 10-years.
They described the 35-year-old youth pastor as friendly and a good person.
Theyre an awesome family, said Maryann Sigala, Robersons neighbor.
Boulder Police say Roberson is facing sexual assault charges for having a relationship with a 15-year-old girl that continued for seven years. The now, 23-year-old told police that Roberson touched her inappropriately and watched her undress by spying on her outside her home in Boulder.
I have all the trust in the world with Jason, lets just put it that way. I never thought this manner would come about, said Mike.
Police say Roberson was a close friend of the victims family and they say he allegedly admitted to the relationship when confronted by the victim and family friends.

Or is that just another meme that fits your agenda?
It's not unusual for neighbors to be surprised when someone they had not really had any concerns about is arrested. That seems particularly true for pedophiles, many of whom have perfected their "craft".

(2,631 posts)I know plenty of people who get into that field for all the wrong reasons. Most of them fall into the category of "arrested development". They just can't grow past their teenage years and youth ministry is a really easy way to stay in that social scene. You cannot even begin to believe the damage they do. And the crazy part is quite often the families most impacted will come rushing the man-child's defense.

But there is also the issue of that potential pedophiles place themselves in positions where they will have contact with kids. Scout leaders have also been an issue.
