I had a horrible, no good night last night

I have Lupus and fibro... and both were rearing their symptoms after working overtime on the house. To be expected, I guess. But I was also upset after losing DiFi. I was also worried about close friends I have who are Fed workers, as well my daughter who is also working for the Feds. IOW, it was a pretty emotional day.

In bed, quiet, I took out my Lemornand cards who have been especially on spot lately and asked to guide me as to the answer to what was specifically causing my distress that night. I was a basket case. Gods, I was not ready for it. In a couple of days, I'm going to do a Thoth reading to get more info, but as of last night, the Lemornand shows that R's are going to steal the election, *rump in jail or not, and he will be the next Pres. It showed chaos and the religious right in ascendency, dropping the anvil on everything. My first thought was "run"... I've read so much from one or two people on this board about Costa Rica. But I have no money. That's when I thought I'd do a follow up with the Thoth, if it'll talk to me again after doing the Lemornand.

My question... has anyone else had the courage to run the cards on the situation we find ourselves in now? And projected out into the future?

I did a Thoth run in 2000 and correctly read Bush's election and all that followed afterwards. When the last of it came true, is when I found the Lemornand cards. Since I started out with cartomancy many, many years ago it was an easy read in many ways. But I don't find it as complete as the Thoth. Anyone else here read the Thoth? If not... what do you favor? I've been reading the Thoth for over 40 years. It always teaches me something new, and I'll never claim to be a master reader. I'll bow to anyone else who also reads; we all have ways the spirit moves through us.

I have so many decks. I collect because of the artwork, or because of the way they "speak" to me at the time, but I only read from the Thoth. What's your favorite? And are you like me... collectors, but only read from one?

as the template for their cards. Kinda makes it hard to interpret for me. Thoth is very different. For example, the Strength card in Rider Waite is "Lust" in Thoth. It speaks to a much deeper kind of strength.. a more primal kind. Through the years I've gotten used to it. I think I've got probably 30 decks of cards. It's a passion of mine (gryn). I've even got a BDSM deck that someone gifted me with about 20 years ago. Hubby's talked about getting me the Star Trek original series deck, after a coven sib and I used the TNG deck the other night. The one deck I'd like to have, that I don't yet have, is the MotherPeace deck. I love the artwork on it.

6. Distress

The question you posed was what was specifically causing distress. At present, the very idea of TFG ascending to power once again is deeply distressing to all DUers. I don't read cards but I will ask my guide how I, personally, can most effectively participate in overturning/undermining/fighting/defeating the MAGA movement. Also, a recent meme is "I survived because the fire inside me burned brighter than the fire around me." So, I will ask I can transform distress into a brightly burning inner fire. Thank you for sharing your vision, it clarified things for me. I hope you can find some relief and some peaceful slumber soon.

7. When I was younger, soapboxes abounded...

Now that I'm older, there are no soapboxes. I scream to the wind, it seems. I never understood why the Tibetan monks set themselves on fire. I understand now.

I would be very interested in knowing what your guide tells you, if you're so inclined to share something so personal. At my age, they either tune us out or call us crazy. I guess having 9 cats doesn't help on the crazy side of things (Goddess bless them all).

I guess one of my problems, all my life, is I don't have patience. You know that old saying, "Lord grant me patience, and I want it now!" I think it was written especially for me! LOL! Slow and steady has always been so hard for me. I want to do something to make a difference. What good is it to see what's coming if no one will listen and you can't do anything about it?

I have for years.. lately, I've just been too distracted with living and keeping up with all the paperwork required to maintain my life & living. .. bureaucracy can be restrictive & distracting and terribly time-consuming ( when you count the hours on hold).

Getting back into making time for readings.. I also throw runes.

Thanks for posting

9. Thoth is a GREAT deck

i am a collector as well...have many many oracle and some tarot decks. For you, if you don't already have it, i highly recommend The Spirit Within by Steven Bright. Based on the Thoth, but with amazing and really different art work. It has been giving me fantastic political readings! You can get a brand new sealed deck pretty cheap on ebay.

i started with Thoth many years ago and never really could relate to the Rider one as much. i have his blue companion book that explains his thinking. What a brilliant mind...a 10 of clubs i think. When you combine the tarot with the Kabbalah like he does, a whole new world opens up.

Funny story...when i met my second husband he was a reader as well...we both had the Thoth deck wrapped with a rubber band...i took that as a sign of course.

The veil is thin tonight they say, so i always do a special meditation of some sort and a reading or two.

RE tfg...he has to be brought down SOON or he will recover maybe...go see Joni Patry's u-tube channel for the Vedic reading of his chart at the time of the election next year...it was chilling. His western astrology isn't as good.

All is well...light is a living spirit...
