Letter to bishop on appointment of ultra-extremists bishops.

Pope John XXIII established a Birth Control Commission to examine the church's teaching on contraception. Even after the Vatican attempted to water down the so-called liberal dominance, the Commission voted overwhelmingly to recommend a revision in the church's condemnation. The only reason that Pope Paul VI chose not to amend the teaching was the ultra traditional faction feared that it would bring the authority of pope in to question. Their choice to protect the image of the papacy has been totally rejected by the vast majority of Catholics who have chosen to follow their own conscience in regard to maintaining the well-being of their families. The fact of the matter is that the future Pope John Paul II was highly instrumental in the writing of Humane Vitae that has set the church back a thousand years and alienated millions of the faithful. The election of Karl Wytolia, the back slapping, glad handing phony who conned everyone during Vatican II, as pope has proven to have been an unmitigated disaster.

His admiration of Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei and their secret support was never revealed until after he was elected. His recognition of Opus Dei and the railroading of Escriva for sainthood was a total farce in which numerous of Escriva’s closest associates weren’t allowed to testify since they would have painted a far different picture of his character. This was only the first step in his determination to establish rigid disciple and absolutely no accommodation for reexamination of traditional teaching. He then proceeded to replace every bishop with ultra conservatives that wouldn’t deviate from church teaching regardless of how absurd the teaching may be.

His taking of the name John Paul is a disgrace since he proved to be totally against the most basic teaching of the council especially in regard to the principal of collegiality that was clearly formulated during Vatican II. He totally ignored the concept and was determined to reestablish the primacy of the papacy at any cost. He totally ignored the pedophilia scandal dismissing it as an American example of people only trying to game the system to enrich themselves. What can be said of his sheltering of the notorious founder of the Legions of Christ, Marcial Maciel, who not only molested scores of young boys, is known to have fathered one child with accusations that he fathered several children and even was accused of sexually abusing them? After John Paul’s death, Maciel’s abuse was so notorious that in 2006 Pope Benedict XVI was forced to remove him from the active ministry. Pope John Paul II disregarded the documented accusations against this scoundrel primarily because of his success in recruiting young boys to study for the priesthood. It is apparent he had other motivations for his interest in these unsuspecting victims. The recruitment of young boys before they are mature enough to make such an important decision is only laying the groundwork for more pedophilia scandals.

The disasterous state of the church is his legacy to us. A hierarchy that is totally out of touch with the vast majority of the faithful. How can you expect young people to be attracted to a church that is totally irrelavent to their common sense life style. So launch your ridiculous law suits claiming that providing insurance for contraceptives is an infringment on the church’s religlious liberty. It will only serve to further alienate anyone with commen sense that knows it is only a power play by ultra right wing fanatics who in actuality don’t a damn about the well being of the faithful except to accept the accrolades of a handful of some brainless boot lickers. This was clearly detailed by Cardinal Nolan when he made the assinine charge that the church would not be able to carry out it mission to the poor if it had to provide contraceptive insurance. The only thing that I could conclude from seeing that pompus ass is that it is evident that he never missed a meal. He never had to worry about feeding his family, providing his children with an education and holding down a job even in the worst of economic times.

The clergy don’t have a care in the world so that permits them free measure to determine just how the laity should conduct the lifes.
