Nancy Pelosi, and others welcomes Pope Francis

"In honor of Pope Francis' visit, Catholic Charities is providing a platform for everyone, regardless of place of origin or religion, to welcome him and share a message of charity. Send us your short video, photo or text welcome message. We’ll post it here. A collection of the videos will be shared with Pope Francis during his visit to New York City."

2. I feel sure that the Pope's visit will be covered live as much as possible,

including his address to Congress.
Surely C-Span will be there, and likely many of the networks as well.

I only hope that one of the Republicans doesn't call out "You lie", as one did during one of President Obama's Addresses.

...but that said, I suspect the congresscritters will manage to contain themselves for the occasion. If we squint very hard we might even see angel wings sprouting.

Of course there are likely also members of Congress who don't actually view the Catholic Church as Christian, but that's another thread for another occasion.

8. I watched the Pope's audience to three congregations on 60 minutes. It was awesome!

I especially noted his thanks to all the Sisters for their service to those in need. I hope he put to rest the recent attacks by the ultra-conservatives on the nuns. He said keep up the great work that you are doing. He reminds me of the hope that Pope John XXIII brought to the church only to have it buried by his successors, most especially, Pope John Paul II.
