Update on TexasProgresive's wife.

Thank you all for your continued prayers.

We met with her doc yesterday and there's good and not so good news. The pain in her abdomen is gall stones. Removal will be postponed until other things are corrected- First she has a long history of high blood pressure-so that has to come down. The next test is a CT scan of her carotids as the sonogram indicates blockage, they will be doing a full cardiac workup as well as the upper and lower GI.

Please pray that she will follow through with being diagnosed and treated. She is more than a little stubborn and has avoided doctors like the plague. On the plus side her doc thinks the prognosis is good and wonder of wonders she is not diabetic.

Thanks be to God for the gift of this day, may we use it well. Amen.

If they need to do Carotid artery surgery she will do just fine. My mom had them and got through just fine.

Is your wife a smoker?

My mother smoked for 50 years and went cold turkey 3 years ago and never went back.

God give her strength!

My dad went cold turkey after his first heart attack and never touched another cigarette. It can be done. May your wife find the strength to do it, too.
