The greatest absence of evolution ever reported has been discovered by an international group of scientists: a type of deep-sea microorganism that appears not to have evolved over more than 2 billion years. But the researchers say that the organisms' lack of evolution actually supports Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.

I would have expected to see some sort of political joke
But they must be pretty perfectly evolved as it is for their particular niche environment, which must also be an extremely stable environment for them to have remained unchanged so long.

It just did not involve many morphological changes.
All life evolves. This article is a prime example of bad science writing. It gets it wrong and misses an opportunity to educate people on what this discovery really means about evolution.
