Austrian scientists have developed a new way to transplant a bionic hand for a useless real hand. They transplant muscles and nerves from the thigh into the arm and amputate the hand. Then they replace it with a bionic hand.

The surgery has been performed three times so far. The patients report that it can be used like normal hand, albeit with slower reflexes and without a sense of touch.

The research-team estimates the costs at approximately €30,000 ($34,000) per procedure.

If not then totally not worth it. Cheaper than $6 million, though...
