But, .... I find the Genius series; half science - half reality tv show, is simply too slow and too plodding to keep my attention ...

I'll watch for the information, but, it's a tough hour ....

I think they are trying to appeal to a large audience that may not me as knowledgeable about certain scientific concepts. But paradoxically, I do like how it makes those concepts accessible to those who may not have been exposed to them (a starting point of sorts). And in some ways, I do think it makes it more profound trying to draw the concepts out from the participants, so that it is more relatable rather than a more passive observer approach in other documentaries. YMMV

Genius is a drag so far. Oh, that reminds me...I'm playing one I'd recorded, but I forgot I was watching it when I heard my email go ding and then decided to check DU. Guess I'll go rewind it a bit and catch up. Or not...zzzzzzzzz

I had trouble getting through the first episode. I've always avoided watching any of those stupid "lost" type reality shows, but felt like I was watching one.

What I really can't stand about those reality shows is how the people are in danger of death at several points....... as long as you can forget that there are dozens of people and transportation vehicles just off-screen.
