Jupiter rules! In May 2018, the king planet shines at its brightest best for the year and is out all night. Venus blazes in early evening. Saturn and Mars rise late and ornament the predawn hours.

(57,600 posts)From my vantage point in Alexandria, the moon rose over the Capital Beltway - St. Barnabas Road interchange at 8:43 last night. I easily spotted Jupiter, which rose a few minutes earlier, with no need for binoculars.

(131,107 posts)as trees etc interfere here. I got a good pic of both around 10:30. Tonight moon rise here in southern MD 'scheduled' @ 9:39.

(57,600 posts)Yes, a Palm PDA. If you can still find a Palm, locate the Planetarium app online and install it in that Palm device. You'll be amazed at what it can do.
