Astronomer Pete Lawrence has posted this huge mosaic (35 megapixels) of the Moon composed of 166,000 taken earlier this month with his Celestron 14" telescope.
Follow this link, then pan and zoom to your heart's delight, paying particular attention to the terminator (the line between day and night), where the shadows are the longest and the contrast is the greatest.
