My uncle owned a roller rink, and my family was big into roller derby in the 60's and 70's (watching, not participating I don't think). Why aren't roller skates more popular? I agree with you completely about roller skating. Even back in Mulebutt, South Carolina we had a roller skating rink. My Mom liked roller skating, so when I was a kid we used to go and skate. Usually with a gaggle of other local brats. It was a lot of fun.
