I am curious about this book. Tell us a little about it....you know, do a book report for us.

I downloaded this book hoping to find a way of discussing atheistic views with my niece who is currently unsure what she believes. The idea behind the book is compelling, but the writing is so poor, I couldn't get to the real message. All I wanted to do was edit the thing. There are innumerable misspellings, grammatical errors, and sentences that just go nowhere. For example, "Bare with us." I think that means to get naked with us, doesn't it? The correct verbiage is "Bear with us." To top it off, the entire book goes nowhere. It is a misleading title, an inept attempt at writing, and absolutely unsubstantiated. There are no footnotes, documentation, or even a note as to where the writer gets his Bible quotes. As a Christian, I am embarrassed by this drivel. Seriously, the author needs to get an editor, a proofreader, or, at the very least, a dictionary.

Incomprehensible. Typos galore. I'm pretty sure the subject of atheism is never actually discussed. If it is, I cannot decipher it. At least it didn't cost me anything but time.

Sounds like you ought to have fun reading that book! Hope it didn't cost you anything.

But that was a tricky title. Maybe it really is "god's manual"---meant to confuse atheists into giving up.

Really, though, why would an atheist buy a book to find a way to talk to their niece about atheism? Personally, I always let people come to their own conclusions about god. I am not here to convert anyone, I'll leave the prophesizing to the theists.
