Related: About this forumThe Chamber Choir I sing in is singing this song
which our director introduced to as as a song that is so great because it applies to everyone:
The House of Faith Has Many Rooms
The house of faith has many rooms
where we have never been;
there is more space within God's scope
than we have ever seen.
We dare not limit God's domain
to what our creeds declare,
or shrink from probing things unknown
lest God should not be there,
The way to God is not escape,
though truth does make us free:
the life of chosen servanthood
is perfect liberty.
Yet still we seek at journey's end
the last and sweetest grace:
the gift of room to turn around
and know God face to face.

So my thoughts are:
1. yeah, bullshit it applies to everyone.
2. I have been singing this song for 2 months and I have no fucking idea what possible positive interpretation there is to the part I bolded.
And for the lurking nannies that are already shaking their head at my evil atheist attitude, we are singing Sing Unto God and that song kicks ass.

My friend George used to say that all the time before they locked him up, in 1984.

religious songs in my day, and enjoyed the singing.
I've also sung "Here comes Santa Claus". Just saying.

.... if anyone knows a good cleaning service. All those rooms are too much for her to keep clean and her house is becoming a filthy mess!
