This thing still cracks me up every time I hear it - Steve Mauldin's no-gawd-awful version of "O Holy Night." It sounds like he's singing while simultaneously being waterboarded and having his testicles crushed.
The story behind this is pretty funny. Ironically, some people accused Mauldin of being an atheist, trying to make Xians look bad with his masterpiece.
Mauldin is actually a devout Xian from Tennessee. He's also a musical director and recording engineer. And every Xmas, in some church or other, he had to deal with amateurs who insisted on singing "O Holy Night." Even when they clearly could not sing the damn song. And it's not an easy one to sing.
