(18,219 posts)that what makes it hell is that there is not any beer. Better get as much as you can while you can. I will see you there one day if the fundies are right. And I will prefer the company.
The cartoon------in poor taste.

(261 posts)No beer or other alcohol there! No marijuana either. Sort of like a nursing home here on Earth, just a lot of old people who can't make it to the bathroom without pooping their pants.
But I got news for you: Heaven is filled with the same kind of old people, all tea-totalers, and a few kids, too, who all "died too young". And none of THEM can make it to the bathroom without pooping in their pants, either.

(13,485 posts)No one knows hell like Hieronymus Bosch and according to Rony, there IS beer in hell! Rony was an artist of the turn of the 16th century. In his painting The Garden of Earthly Delights, the right panel shows hell in all it's religious glory. To the bottom right of that panel, you will see the Prince of Hell... he's the guy with the bird head and a cauldron crown. Directly in front of him is "Musicians hell". Now look directly above musicians hell and you will see a round egg like thing with a head on it. Inside that egg thing you will see a table with demons drinking... what? beer! there are mugs of beer on the table! For joy!
Rony has shown us all there is to know about your hell experience. It makes me feel all warm inside when I think about Hieronymus Bosch and his wonderful depictions of religious life and the hereafter.

(13,485 posts)I've spent a lot of time looking at his paintings (probably too much) and I am amazed at how he saw life, death and religion in the 1490's to 1520's. His work is truly the visions of a mad man in a way.. details, details, you have to look at his stuff under a microscope almost. I like to think of him as the Salvador Dali of the 15th century. Anyway... beer in hell.. yes.
