Contributions now are up to $78,370!!!

The original goal was $50,000.

Something all of us atheists can be proud of.

(Edited because my OP duplicated info in the CNN story.)

to do something good for another atheist whose claim to fame is being an atheist. It feels good. And it feels good to see how many others are rising to the occasion. I am hoping that things turn out well for her, but from her attitude about her situation, I will say that she is on her way.

If I weren't as poor as the proverbial church mouse I would gladly donate!

I'm so very glad this family of godless heathens will be helped. She seems like a lovely young lady with a great attitude.

I don't want to give my $10 or $20 and have a few banks get $.50 or $1 of my money for my doing this.

I hope this woman and her family get hundreds of thousands of dollars from this campaign, and that she gives some of it to her closest neighbors who are Chrisitans or Jews or Muslims or whatever they are... so they, too, can know that you don't have to believe in a god or go to church or temple or mosque to be a giving and caring human being.

I expect, also, that she is not the only atheist/agnostic in OK who suffered a loss this past week, but she was "lucky" enough to be on international TV and brave to state her position on religion. Thank her for us all.
