Cenk Uygur (Young Turks) has a good one on the Tea Party

I haven't really thought about it until lately, but lots of the Tea Partiers are indeed religious fundamentalists. Here we have yet another attempted intrusion on politics and government by the religious fanatics. So much of their rhetoric is Biblical and apocalyptic.

How much evidence do we need to know that religion HAS to be kept OUT of government?

I have always paid attention to the fact that the Tea Party members appear to all be fundamentalist Christians. Maybe it is because I know several of them, and they are all over-the-top religious. I believe that they are having hatred of Obama preached to them at church, but I don't know for sure----it just seems that they link politics with their religion too much for it not to come from the preachers. Hell, I ought to agree to visit their church with them some day just to test that theory.

And it isn't just that they are expecting Armageddon, they are hoping that things will fall apart because that is what has to happen before Jesus returns. So, if the world falls apart, they will see the end of the world.....and they want that. Won't they be pissed when the world falls apart at their hands, but they are still here to deal with the aftermath?
