Oh. Never mind.
EPIX is running a Godzilla marathon on Memorial Day, which means I better stock up on popcorn and related junk. Movies range from the first Godzillla flicks in the 1950s, up to Mechagodzilla etc. The marathon kicks off at 6 AM and goes all day.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with Godzilla.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to Godzilla,
"You promised me Godzilla,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"
Godzilla replied,
"SSKREEEEEEEEEEONGK."

(9,356 posts)I always thought the "Son of Godzilla" should be called "Jesuszilla." Obviously...
Was Godzilla male or female? Or both? The earlier movies always used "he," but Godzilla laid eggs/gave birth in later movies. Well, whatever gender he/she/it is, Godzilla needs to quit flouting its giant-lizard privilege on poor old Tokyo.
I really love the scenes where 'Zilla is kicking over cars and city buses. Use freeze-frame, and you can sometimes read "Kubyashi Toy Co." or something similar on the bottom of the vehicle.
The public-service announcements always crack me up too. At least once in every movie you hear something like: "Attention citizens! A giant fire-breathing lizard monster is coming to wipe out the city! Please remain calm!"

(34,582 posts)I forgot who does the DUzy awards, but they do a DU search for the word "DUzy" in the title. Good luck.

(42,159 posts)Not the best IMO.
You have the campy Showa (I'm excluding the first Godzilla '54)
You have the darker Heisei (my personal favorite)
and Millenium... mixed.

(9,289 posts)Are you talking about the 1984 Godzilla and its sequals?
If so I am in complete agreement. I love that series!

(18,219 posts)Godzilla, of course, and then Godzilla 2000---which had me laughing all the way through. I enjoyed that one.
But I will say that there is no way I could sit through a whole day of back-to-back Godzilla. More power to you.
