(17,505 posts)I voted for the 1st one because I came to atheism through rejecting anything supernatural. (as opposed to, say, hating religion) Anything supernatural is just superfluous. Every single instance where god or something supernatural was assumed to be present has be debunked with science and common sense.
But the Einstein quote is also delicious. But since it had so many votes already...I went to the anti-supernatural.
Warren Stupidity
(48,181 posts)is foolish or dishonest or both.
Cartoonist
(7,316 posts)when he said, God does not play dice with the universe.
Foolish people, like some in the other group, will claim that means he believes in God. How dare they call Albert a theist!

(9,013 posts)...because straws are all they have. I think they see the writing on the wall but will kick and scream all the way to the dump.
I don't believe that I have ever "hated" religion. I do, however, don't well understand how those who traveled the same road as I have continue to believe. The evidence against faith in a deity is so great that it becomes a willfull ignorance.
I do harbor anger and vitriol at those who try to push their religion into places it does not belong, like government and public spaces. You want to believe in your fictitious God? Fine. Go to church. Pray in your closet like your ancient book tells you to do.

(9,288 posts)The Satan one epitomizes my deepest objections Christianity perfectly. Have to go with that one.
Though I think meme of the week should go to this one:

(5,043 posts)Isn't that strange how people say there is no evolution and then they get a shot at the local Walgreens for a new strain of virus annually. Hmm. Boggles the mind.
Warren Stupidity
(48,181 posts)I think I have to go with no magic.
Curmudgeoness
(18,219 posts)because that is the whole reason that I moved away from a belief in any gods. Also, I really like House.
It was a hard choice though, since the others were excellent. I almost went with Einstein, except that I always had a problem with the weak responses he always had, using the term "personal God". That has always left the door open for people to say that he still believed in God as a creator or as the master of the universe.

(17,505 posts)You realize Hugh Laurie is terribly British.
You should see him in "Black Adder the Third"... the 3rd season of the hysterical Black Adder series.
He plays the Prince Regent... later George IV.
(He's in the middle)
Curmudgeoness
(18,219 posts)As opposed to delightfully British? Well, that does it, I can't like House anymore.
EvolveOrConvolve
(6,452 posts)Because Doctor House is my favorite TV character of all time (right above Archie Bunker). Gregory House is the shiznit yo.
