Anyone remember an international atheist organisation set up in the past year or so?
It seemed to get a fair amount of publicity at the time, on atheist-friendly blogs, anyway, and maybe in a bit of the media too. It struck me at the time as very American-oriented - mostly Americans, a couple of Canadians, and Richard Dawkins, among about 20 'board members' and 'advisers' or similar titles, if I remember correctly - and I criticised it as such, but I can't remember if that was here or in a comment on a blog. It looked a bit like an offshoot of an American organisation that was trying to go international.
So I wanted to see what it was doing now it had had a bit of time; but I can't remember the name, and my google searching has drawn a blank so far. It's possible it was called 'humanist' or even 'secular' rather than 'atheist'. I have the vague feeling Jerry Coyne was also in its collection of noteworthies, but that could be wrong. Any ideas, anyone?
