With every murderous atrocity like this - and they are easier to commit and more common than ever thanks to the easy availability of high-powered weapons - more people will begin to question their religious assumptions.

I am still waiting to see a broad questioning and re-thinking in the Muslim world, and I can assure you that acts like this are only going to embolden me to speak out more than ever. I expect the same from cartoonists and satirists the world over.

I only felt comfortable targeting Christianity. I hold many Muslim ideas abhorrent, but I recognize the crazy and would not have the courage to openly antagonize them. Its a pity how religion stifles ideas. Christianity used to be as crazy about their faith. It has a lot of religious iconography, as well as many other themes running through it, but the religion is predominantly Catholic based, because that's what the creator grew up with and what he knows.

Someone asked him about Jewish stuff, and he said that he didn't know much about it. Someone asked him about Islamic stuff and he said he wouldn't include it because he didn't want to get murdered.
