Related: About this forumReligion In The Comics - 012
People have been using comics to poke fun at the Bible for a long time. In Fact, people have been poking fun at the Bible since it was written. Some of the early satirists were no doubt persecuted, just like those Parisians who poked fun at that other religion. Here are a couple of examples from long ago, the 20's to be exact.
From Judge March 1924
From Laughter December 1926

None of them address religion as far as I know. I doubt DU would like that kind of porn on their site.

I watched some episodes of "Laugh-in" the other night.... from 1969 I think.
Anyway.... some silly bits would have DU posters and many others in a tizzy.
Like when Sammy Davis Jr intones in his best Kingfish voice:
"Do da name Ruby Begonia mean anythin' to ya?"
Can you imagine that today? People would be having PC seizures!
They were all having a blast on that show!
Today, no one has much fun at all. It's all so serious.
