Yep, I just found out there is a persecution blog.
One of my relatives, posted a link on FB to it about St Patrick.
If St Pat isn't your favorite martyr, you'll find all sorts of other people who have been persecuted. Because, you know, God loves them so much.

What.... he didn't bathe regularly either?
Burton is a martyr apparently because he was real religious and nice, and died in a car accident. I mean, that's sad.... it's sad that anybody has to die in automobile accidents, but a martyr?

(9,019 posts)...and worse, especially in the Middle East/South Asia as the Muslims are trying to establish another caliphate. The Islamic habit of charging non-Muslims a tax is pretty outrageous, but I guess it's better than outright whacking your head off. It's got the feel of deja vu coming back at ya as this region goes back and forth between Islam and Christianity. What a waste of blood.
Persecute not, lest ye be persecuted, Christians.
And naturally the poor Christians perceive the rise of secularism and atheism in the West as another form of persecution.
They veritably thrive on being persecuted, and the tragedy is that it's all over imaginary bullshit!
Mas triste.
