If I bang my head against the wall

and it hurts, I stop. So why do I not stop arguing with people about their various forms of woo?

Possibly I have some kind of masochistic streak.



Yesterday, it was about how banning an entire line of scientific inquiry is shortsighted. I was trying to be extremely conciliatory - I even gave them the point that *ALL* GM food is currently 'bad', but that there may be developments that are extraordinary coming in the future.
