The equipment which I use does not provide great resolution. I generally use my ten-year-old camcorder which, in this case, I steadied on the roof of my car. I recorded a one-minute movie of the moon. When I played it back on my PC, I snipped the image which I have posted here.

I had heard that tonight's sky may be cloudy; therefore, I decided to capture the image before dawn this morning.

I did not have the chance to record the moon last evening. Had I done so, I would have gotten an image having a golden hue.

I appreciate your interest in the Harvest Moon and your link to the article.

Best wishes.

I got this Wednesday @ sunset, with my Samsung Galaxy camera:

Was cloudy yesterday, until late night. Will see what's up today. Forecast here for partly/mostly cloudy during hours when moon's 'face' is most visible, and clear later, so may catch it setting over the river here in southern MD. That, of course, won't be til 7:30 a.m. tomorrow!
