you need someone who understands to talk to you, I can see a lot of people are not on-line in this thread and just want you to know that there are people listening. We all have our different issues. Mine is loneliness on the holidays and insomnia. But someone will be here with the right kind of help. Hang in there.

I appreciate the concern. I've done all the things I know to do. I'm on meds & I've gone to therapy. Done the suicide survivor things & helped some people along the path.
It's just such a tiring road, ya know?
No matter what I do or try I can't get the image of finding my son out of my head. I can't stop thinking of what I could have done differently. I can't stop longing to see his smile one more time.
Loosing a child, even an adult child, ( especially to suicide) makes so many people flee the scene. The others you tend to drive away.
I have the support of other survivors via the internet & other very kind people....
( but ) to be honest, nothing makes this any easier.
It's a weird thing. Just absolutely nothing makes this anything other than unbelievably agonizing.
Thank you for letting me vent.

you'll never stop longing to see his smile again.

you love him.

and no matter how difficult the haunting imagery, and all the what-ifs, you love him--through it all. and that's the most important thing.

love can be a double-edged sword; if we didn't love so deeply we wouldn't hurt so deeply.

it sounds like you've been through an incredibly hard time for a long time, and again, i'm so sorry. i hope you are able to find comfort in the memories you cherish and in the days ahead.
