First time in a long long time I've been a host.

I love my solitary life. Everything on my terms, in my pace, etc.

I'm hosting a client up from Virginia b/c she has a trial to attend and she has absolutely no money. Instead of having her spend money she doesn't have for a motel, I told her to stay with me. For ten days.

I gave her a bedroom, food to eat, entertainment and have spent time with her.

I'm doing okay but I have moments where I wish I were living by myself. I like her. She hasn't done anything to make me irritated.

I just want to be alone, that's all.

have enough hours in the day to do all the things I enjoy - like reading, watching a movie, talking on the DU - all things that involve humanity...just at my pace.

is not irritating and there is a definite (and short) time limit to her visit, you are still reacting to your loss of space, both physical and mental. I would be the same way!

That would be a long time for me to tolerate having another person in my house.
