(41,831 posts)This is good for beginners. If you look further back in the group you will find an entire series on beginning (Nihongo) Japanese! Ganbatte kudasai!! (do your best!) Nihongo wa kantan ni suru koto ga dekimasu! (Japanese can be easy!) hai hai!

(2,212 posts)Domo arigatou gozaimasu. I appreciate the encouragement. I am not good with languages, but this video host, Risa, makes learning Japanese vocabulary fun. I will look for the other videos, too. I hope other members of the group won't find such beginner videos too much of a nuisance. Domo arigatou gozaimashita!

I even prefer to use Japanese to send text messages, because it's so much easier to enter a Japanese character or two and let the cell phone give me a choice of a dozen or more words and phrases that begin with that character, rather than struggle with pushing one button several times just to get one English alphabet letter.
