Risa used to do nothing but straight-laced instructional videos for JapanesePod101 (and sometimes still does). But somewhere along the way, the company realized that Risa has such natural charm the best thing they could do was to let her play around a bit while the video cameras are rolling. Sometimes she gets a bit too silly for my tastes, but overall she's wonderful. She's a nice reminder that if you don't occasionally lighten up and just have fun, you're missing out on an important part of life.
