All about Gayageum- Jocelyn Clark

Jocelyn Clark, who is also known by her Korean name, Jo Se-rin, is a professor at Pai Chai University and a gayageum player. She has been mastering the art of the gayageum, a 12-string Korean zither, for the past 20 years, and she was honored with the Gold Prize in the Newcomer Division at the National Hyangsa Gayageum Byeongchang Competition this October.

The Alaskan-born gayageum player honed her skills and knowledge under the tutelage of prominent traditional Korean musicians. She also acquired her doctorate degree from Harvard with a dissertation on Gayageum Byeongchang.
