How news becomes news in Korea

I try to report breaking political news stories in South Korea as they happen several times a month. That is I see the news in the Korean media in hangul and write it up. Most of the time, these stories are ignored until someone sees it in the LA Times or Washington Post later. Then their commentary makes it back into Korean news reports.

I won't use twitter because i don't want to get trashed for having my own opinion of what news is in Korea. This is just a hobby. This for example was a breaking story in South Korea this am:

Maybe the msm and the twitter pros won't even bother.

because there's truth in it

Though anything that could spur public anger doesn't need it to go through foreign press
