Chris Matthews proves once again his blindness to principle

Talking about Biden's comments, Chris seems indignant and mystified that Biden would point out that wealth inequality has been Bernie's "drumbeat" issue for decades. I'm paraphrasing but he basically said: "there's no love lost between Biden and the Clintons, but usually the Clintons know how to win people over. Why didn't the Clintons reach out to Biden to win him over --offer him a Secretary of State job for example?"

Umm, Chris, isn't it possible that Biden simply RESPECTS Bernie's dedication to this issue and thinks that it is very, very important to the American people?? Is that so hard to believe?

Of course Chris would find it odd that an elected official would act out of principle.

Not so odd that he seems to be on the same wavelength as the Clintons.

As you say, he respects Bernie and saw what camp Hillary was doing with their spin.

Chris suggested that Secretary Clinton screwed up by not offering Biden a plum job - so, he believes that:

1) Biden's support can be bought off with the right goodies, making him corrupt and his support meaningless; and/or

2) Clinton SHOULD go around bribing people for support and if she doesn't and they don't support her, it's HER fault. But we all know that if she had been caught trying to do that - or even if he THOUGHT she was trying to do that, he would absolutely blast her for being craven, corrupt, etc.

In other words, Chris is really full of it, no matter how you slice it.

So maybe she already did and he was offended (and IMO rightfully so).
