What has Romney got for Texan voters?

I notice a rather large vote for Romney in Texas. what is the Teaxan Democratic Party doing about this?

Why do voters like a ineffective candidate who hides his money overseas and makes money by dubious means?

Same thing goes for the other red states. Most of the red states happen to be the poorest in the Union, too.
