I don't think that's particularly ominous though, if it was related to the concussion. Even if they just happened to find it at that time, she is likely on blood thinners to prevent recurrence.

My mother-in-law had a full stroke, but recovered and lived another 20 years (until age 90) without incident.

Small blood clots are not uncommon with concussions. They usually go away on their own, no stroke involved.
