2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI'd like Sanders to pick Warren as his VP! My notion is that would solidify
16 years of a progressive Presidency.
During that 16 years, we will be able to elect a progressive Dem majority, and with that, create the America of our dreams.
That is all.

(19,326 posts)because -- unlike most any other DC politician or national Democratic figure -- Warren
is exactly on the same page with Bernie on breaking up the banks, restoring Glass/Steagle
etc. and wouldn't shrink from it if/when she should ever become president.

(3,900 posts)I seem to recall a whole lot of wailing and criticism of the Clinton campaign for supposedly assuming her "inevitability" because she was double digits ahead of everyone else in the race for over a year. Yet a couple of days after Sanders moved within the margin of error in some polls, his supporters are behaving as if he's the President-elect.
Interesting.

(26,549 posts)She's also a northeastern Senator. She's too similar to Sanders to add much to the ticket.
Also, making her VP virtually eliminates all her political power. Have her stay in the Senate where she can actually change things.
