2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumClinton email release delayed until after IA & NH
MSNBC just reported that (due to this weekends snowstorm)
the State Department wont release further Clinton emails until late March
(after the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary).
Nothing to see here folks. Just move along.

(6,123 posts)Personally I don't think there is anything in the emails that will damage Hillary. However delaying the release doesn't seem to be a good move in my opinion.

(3,649 posts)If they do end up being damaging, and Bernie is able to win Iowa and NH, this will just add fuel to the fire leading into Nevada.

If I ever put Top Secret Information on an unsecured server,
I would be joining Chelsea Manning at Leavenworth for 20 years,
or WORSE.

(39,909 posts)There is usually a time lag in the USA before the truth is disclosed.
Look how long it took for the Watergate Scandal to fester enough for people to notice.

Okay, so our opinions differ. Time will tell.

Those later ones are far more important in terms of the delegate count, by the way.

(22,308 posts)Why the hell should shutting down now slow that down? They will be reopened by then.
It is the very last batch of emails. They should be able to still release them. This is very strange.

7,254 pages that SHOULD have already been released but WEREN'T.
"Whether District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras will grant the extension is unclear, but if he does it will push the release back until after the casting of votes in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina, the first four states in the presidential nominating process."
If my company did business the way the State Department does, we'd surely have gone into bankruptcy by now, and some of us have been fired.
SOP for the State Department though.
