2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhat will Bernie do about the whistleblowers?
Although we agree with Bernie Sanders concerning his will to bring back social policies in the US, regulate Wall Street and put an end to the tax reliefs in favor of the super-rich and the greed of the banksters, Bernie didn't clarify yet his stance on other issues, like for example the fate of the whistleblowers.
Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, Bradley Manning and others, have contributed to the revelation of vital information concerning illegal interceptions against citizens, war crimes, etc., which people have the constitutional right to know about.
Yet these people face charges about treason, espionage, etc. What is Bernie's position about these people? How a potential US government under the leadership of Bernie Sanders would treat them?

(14,498 posts)... in the first DEM debate and noted contribution his (Snowden's) actions made in helping people understand profoundly disturbing things their government was secretly doing ..... while Clinton and O'Malley basically said they want to see him ( Snowden) hang.
I'd like to hear more from Clinton about it too.
no more banksters
(395 posts)I didn't know that. That's a good sign. Some extra points for Bernie!

(14,498 posts)Bernie was ok.... Clinton her usual demagogic self , and O'Malley may have blown his chance at being Clinton's veep, his response was so idiotic.
